My story
A jar of clay with something good inside.
I'm Gabby. I live in Arkansas with my husband, Phil, and I'm rarely sitting still.
I love a good cup of coffee, reading my bible and spending time with God. I lift. I run, four years in and it's still hard. I climb rocks, ride bikes, and fish when I can. Being outside is how I reset and think. When I need to slow down, I pick up my guitar or go for a walk.
I love people. Kids, neighbors, my community. My first missions trip was Haiti in 2018, and I've been to Guatemala since. Those trips taught me missions isn't only a plane ticket. It starts wherever your feet are.
In 2024 I heard a sermon on 2 Corinthians 4:7, about treasure in jars of clay. It stuck. I'm the jar. Cracked in places, ordinary in most. The power isn't mine, and honestly, that's a relief.
So I stopped waiting to be finished before I showed up. I get a lot of it wrong. I'm still being shaped.
"But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us."
